Terms of Use

Last updated 4 October 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By using the Acris website at acrisapp.com and the services on it (the “Service”), operated by Odune (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Acris is a screen diet app for iPhone. You choose the apps you want to manage, set a daily allowance for them, and Acris shows you one balance. When an allowance is spent, those apps get a guardrail you can pass deliberately.

The Service currently consists of this website and a waitlist. Features and availability may change as we build the product.

3. Eligibility

Acris is built for adults managing their own device use. It is not a parental-control or supervision product. By using the Service you confirm you are old enough to enter a contract where you live.

4. The waitlist

If you join the waitlist, give us an address you can receive mail at. We use it to email you about Acris and nothing else, and you can leave at any time through the unsubscribe link in any message. What we do with it is set out in the privacy policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

6. The app and the App Store

Acris is distributed through the App Store, and your use of the app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement together with Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple, not by us.

7. Intellectual Property

The Acris name, artwork, copy and software are owned by Odune and protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not use our branding or content without written permission.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

Acris does not promise to stop you. Going over an allowance is a choice the product deliberately leaves open, and a guardrail can be passed. Acris is designed to make that choice visible, not impossible.

Acris is not a medical device. It is not designed to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and the figures it shows measure app usage rather than assess anything clinically.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Odune is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here removes liability or rights that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date above, and continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there.

12. Contact

Acris is operated by Odune. Questions about these Terms go to support@acrisapp.com.
